Where to use an in loving memory design

The welcome sign stands by the guest book or the entrance, so people know they are in the right place and see a favorite photo as they arrive. Prayer and memorial cards go on a table by the door or into each program. The social post is for the days before the service, when the family needs to tell people what happened and where to come. Many families make all three in one design so they look like a set, along with a funeral program.

Wording ideas

“In loving memory” is the most common heading, but it isn’t the only one. “Celebrating the life of” suits a lighter service, and “Forever in our hearts” works well on a post. For the welcome line on a sign, “Welcome to the celebration of life for” or “Thank you for being here for” both read naturally. A short note such as “Please sign the guest book” or “Share a memory at the table” gives guests something to do. For card verses, see short verses for memorial cards and what to write on a funeral card.

The welcome sign is 18 × 24 inches, the most common easel size. It has a 3:4 shape, so the same PDF also prints at 12 × 16 or 9 × 12 inches without cropping if you would rather frame it. Prayer cards are 2.5 × 4.25 inches, six to a Letter sheet for home printing. The social post is 1080 × 1080 pixels, the size Facebook and Instagram expect.

Questions families ask

Can I use the same design for the sign, program and cards?

Yes. The Garden, Eucalyptus and Noir signs match the programs with the same names, so the photo, colors and lettering line up across everything you print.

Where can I print an 18 × 24 inch sign?

Most print shops and office stores print poster-size signs, often the same day. Ask for foam board if it will stand on an easel.

Is it free?

Yes. Every template is free to edit and download, with no account and no watermark.
